Texas national parks at risk under new Trump budget

Chron: The Trump administration's newly released budget proposal includes more than $1 billion in cuts to the National Park Service (NPS), slashing nearly 40 percent of the agency's current funding, including a $900 million reduction to park operations. Though a full list of impacted sites has yet to be released, the consequences for Texas's 18 national park sites, which include Big Bend National Park and Guadalupe Mountains National Park, could be severe.
